Broomfield Soccer Club

Codes of Conduct

Starting July 1, 2025, Broomfield Soccer Club will require each coach to annually complete mandatory reporter training that follows the guidelines and recommendations made by the Mandatory Reporter Training Task Force. We will also be encouraging each coach to complete an abuse prevention training program to help identify and prevent prohibited conduct by coaches, appropriate one-on-one interactions with players and coaches, how to recognize, respond to, and prevent conduct subject to any policies put in place by Broomfield Soccer Club.

All coaches will be required to comply with a code of conduct and complete a background check—including screening for felony child abuse and sexual offenses—before they can start working with any teams or kids. Individuals may be disqualified from coaching based on the results of the background check.

Broomfield Soccer Club will implement a policy that lists prohibited behaviors for parents, spectators, coaches, and athletes, including a mandatory reporting policy for those aware of violations. These measures aim to enhance safety and accountability in youth sports by establishing clear guidelines and ensuring coaches are properly vetted and trained.
